For Immediate Release Washington, D.C. -- The Frontiers of Freedom Institute released the following statement by its president, George Landrith, regarding the announcement that the Nobel Foundation has decided to award this year's Peace Prize to Albert Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. George Landrith, president of Frontiers of Freedom Institute, said: “At first glance, the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Al Gore seems absurd. After all, Gore’s primary occupation is to berate the public about energy use (which makes life pleasant and peaceful), while simultaneously burning enough fossil fuels to power a medium-sized city. What does that have to do with peace? Nothing.George Landrith is the President of the Frontiers of Freedom Institute and a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was Business Editor of the Virginia Journal of Law and Politics. As an adjunct professor at the George Mason School of Law, Mr. Landrith has taught constitutional law, appellate advocacy, and legal writing. Mr. Landrith appears frequently on television and radio news programs. He has been quoted and published in many of the nation’s leading newspapers.
